Nick designed and presented the Enterprise Data Platform Blueprint — a comprehensive architecture document that secured Board of Directors approval for PorchPass's data infrastructure modernization initiative in Q1 2026.

The blueprint covers current-state analysis of PorchPass's Excel-based infrastructure, target-state design for a cloud-native platform built on GCP (BigQuery, Kubernetes, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub), and a phased 16-week migration roadmap with clear milestones and risk mitigation strategies.

The architecture design features a 5-layer platform (Ingestion, Storage, Processing, Analytics, Presentation) with 25x scalability headroom beyond current portfolio size. A key architectural decision was the infrastructure cost-benefit analysis comparing GCP Cloud Composer ($300-500/month) versus BigQuery Scheduled Queries plus Cloud Functions ($5-10/month) — selecting the lightweight approach reduced monthly costs by 98% while preserving full automation capability.
